People who read it will understand me but that scene made me cry like river. But also another scene made me cry too but thank god, it was because of the happiness.

It certainly runs thought the entire gamut of emotions, from laughter at all the witty conversations to tears when Eve goes back to Dallas and faces some of her fears. This is also one of the books where Roarke goes almost too far in the direction of controlling male. I always like to see him as perfect and he is most certainly not this time! Amazing too that Roarke and Eve have only been married one year.

I cried for Eve Watching her, knowing he had no choice but to watch her live the nightmare, Roarke broke inside. Roarke seems to be trying to ingratiate himself into her work life more and more I don't mind that. We get to see more of him. Eve, though, is not too pleased.

She's a strong, powerful woman who is determined to kick this chick's ass because she's making it personal. And, all the men I skipped this one when I read the series because I couldn't get it at the time, so reading this book was like going back in time in the series set in the future. And, all the men in her life are completely supportive of Eve because they know she is smart, tough, and has what it takes to bring this evil woman down. They respect her skills, etc.

No, really, they are just hoping for a girl fight. There is nothing that brings men together more than a cat fight.

I mean, hey, there's a chance that clothes will be torn or the girls might get so excited by their fighting that they may kiss. Really, men? This is what you think? I honestly don't know how you've been in charge for so long. I don't know. I just thought you were better than this. So, what men are saying is that when they fight, it is because they have legitimate reasons, such as defending their woman or their honor. And, when women see men fighting, we worry that someone may get hurt. BUT, when women fight, it is because they are petty and jealous or fighting over a man.

When men see women fighting, they are hoping for a free peek at a boob. Another thing going on is that Peabody's parents come into town and for some reason they glob on to Eve as if she's their long-lost daughter or something. It's weird and creepy. I mean, they meet her and then Peabody's mother basically invites herself to dinner at Eve's house. Then, when the pushy parents show up to dinner, Peabody's mother manipulates Roarke into allowing them to stay at their house during their visit.

Talk about pushy!! Eve and Roarke have a big house, yeah.
